 The Aims and Scope of the Korean Journal of Ophthalmology |
The first issue of Korean Journal of Ophthalmology was published by the department of ophthalmology, Seoul National University in 1987. Since 2001 Korean Journal of Ophthalmology has been the official English language publication of the Korean Ophthalmological Society (KOS).
This quarterly, peer-reviewed journal provides basic and clinical research papers in all fields of ophthalmology.
The journal is distributed to members of KOS, medical schools, libraries, and many other institutions at home and abroad to promote the development of Korean ophthalmology and academic exchanges among KOS members as well as international society members.
The ultimate goal of Korean Journal of Ophthalmology is to make contributions to the well-being of the human rece in general by improving the science and technology in ophthalmology.
