쇼그렌 환자 및 건성안 환자의 장내 세균총 변화에 관한 분석

목적 : To investigate compositional differences of intestinal microbiome in patients with Sjogren syndrome (SS) or dry eye syndrome (DES) compared to normal subjects.
방법 : 10 subjects with SS, 14 subjects with DES and 12 healthy volunteers provided their feces. SS group was defined according to the 2016 ACR/EULAR criteria. DES group was defined as subjects with complaining of dry eye symptoms and less than 10 seconds of tear break up time (TBUT). All subjects underwent slit lamp microscopic examination for NEI scoring and tear break up time (TBUT), and schirmer test. Stool samples were collected and bacterial genomic DNA was extracted for the composition comparison, alpha and beta diversity.
결과 : SS showed difference in phylum of following compared to controls and DES; Increased Bacteriodetes(p<0.05), decreased Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes ratio(p<0.05) and Actinobacteria(p<0.05). Family Clostridia was reduced in SS(vs controls;p=0.012, vs DES;p=0.008). In genus, SS had reduced Bifidobacterium(vs controls;p=0.025, vs DES;p=0.026). In DES, Genus Veillonella was increased (p=0.045) and Subdoligranulum was reduced (p=0.035) compared to controls. Beta diversity showed differences in SS and dry eye (vs controls ;p<0.05).
결론 : SS group showed significant differences in intestinal microbiome compared to controls while DES group showed intestinal microbiome somewhere in between SS group and controls. These results may be evidence that alterations in intestinal microbiome affect SS and DES, and that prebiotics or probiotics may have beneficial effects.
