목적 : To investigate efficacy, safety, and predictability of surgical outcomes and corneal aberrations in eyes underwent underwent immediate transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) after suction loss during SMILE procedure.
방법 : Twelve patients who underwent immediate transepithelial PRK after suction loss during lenticule cut of SMILE procedure on one eye and uneventful SMILE on the contralateral eye were included. Visual acuity assessment, manifest refraction and measurement of corneal wavefront aberration were performed preoperatively and 6 months after the surgery.
결과 : At postoperative 6 months, the mean uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), and manifest refraction spherical equivalent in the transepithelial PRK and the SMILE group were -0.04 ± 0.05, -0.09 ± 0.05, 0.23 ± 0.24 diopters (D) and -0.10 ± 0.07, -0.06 ± 0.07, -0.04 ± 0.17 D, respectively (P = 0.036, 0.109, 0.002, respectively). 92% and 100% of eyes showed postoperative 6-month Snellen UDVA better than 20/20 in the transepithelial PRK and SMILE group respectively. All eyes in both groups showed unchanged or improved CDVA after the surgery.
결론 : Immediate transepithelial PRK after suction loss during SMILE procedure showed effective, safe and predictable surgical outcomes.
