목적 : To investigate current management in terms of normal tension glaucoma (NTG), to determine whether 2 largest trials have affected Korean glaucoma subspecialist’s clinical practice. 방법 : A survey questionnaire was sent to glaucoma subspecialists composed to members of the Korean Glaucoma Society (KGS) The questionnaire was composed of regular practice with respect to NTG and the extent to which practice has been influenced by the Collaborative Normal Tension Glaucoma Study (CNTGS) and the Low pressure Glaucoma Treatment Study (LoGTS). 결과 : In total, 134 glaucoma subspecialists completed the survey. The survey reported that 88% and 77% of glaucoma subspecialists were familiar with the CNTGS and the LoGTS, respectively. With respect to mild or moderate NTG, most respondents (87.3~91.0%) tend to treat immediately without waiting visual or structural progression. Although 47.3% of Respondents answered LoGTS results affected their management, 19.8% of Respondents tend to use brimonidine. The first-choice topical drug for NTG was in prostaglandin analogue (75.7%), brimonidine (9.0%) and beta-blocker (8.3%) order. 결론 : With respect to mild or moderate NTG, Korean Glaucoma subspecialist tend to treat immediately without waiting progression. A minority of Korean glaucoma subspecialists have been influenced by LoGTS results. The Prostaglandin analogues are the most selected drug for management of NTG. |
