목적 : To evaluate the long-term results of 2-muscle surgery in children with large-angle exotropia, comparing bilateral lateral rectus recession (BLR) with unilateral lateral rectus recession-medial rectus resection (RR) 방법 : Forty-five children with exotropia of ≥40 prism diopters (PD), who underwent BLR (BLR group) or the unilateral recess/resect procedure (RR group) were included in this retrospective case-series. Patients were followed-up for more than 2 years. Final successful alignment rates, and factors related to recurrence and overcorrection were evaluated. 결과 : At postoperative 2 years, 16 (72.7%) of 22 patients in the BLR group achieved successful alignment; 6 (27.3%) had recurrence, and none of them had overcorrection. In the RR group, 20 of 23 patients (87.0%) were successfully aligned, 1 (4.3%) had recurrence, and 2 (8.7%) had overcorrection. There was a statistically significant difference in postoperative results between the two groups. (p=0.375) The RR group demonstrated higher successful alignment and lower recurrence than the BLR group in patients with large-angle exotropia. 결론 : The unilateral recess/resect procedure demonstrated more favorable long-term postoperative outcomes in patients with large-angle exotropia. |
