목적 : To assess thickness of retina and choroid using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) in rabbit which is commonly used animal model of ophthalmic disease and reports a normative data set.
방법 : Twenty normal eyes of rabbits were used. Semi-automated measurements were made on the Heidelberg Spectralis SD-OCT to determine the total retinal thickness (RT) and choroidal thickness (CT) at inferiorly fixed distances from the optic nerve head (ONH) (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 mm away) in order to measure the thickness in visual streak. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) with P value <0.05 indicated statistical significance.
결과 : Total RT at 1mm distance from the ONH was 308.70 ± 83.08㎛ and it increased to 3mm distance from the ONH, and then significantly decreased with increasing distance. CT at 1 mm distance from the ONH was 107.95 ± 18.39㎛ and it has a tendency to increase with increasing distance away from the ONH.
결론 : There are differences in RT and CT at visual streak in rabbit with SD-OCT using a standardized approach. These measurements provide a normative reference for future studies and illustrate a standardized method of assessing RT and CT.
