목적 : To investigate the influence of donor age on corneal graft survival in primary penetrating keratoplasty (PK).
방법 : Medical records of patients who underwent primary PK with imported donor corneas were reviewed retrospectively. The eyes were classified into 2 groups according to donor age: <65 years and ≥65 years groups. Primary outcome measures are graft rejection and graft failure. Survival analysis was conducted using the Kaplan–Meier method; differences between groups were assessed with a log-rank test. We also evaluated Cox proportional hazard regression analysis to assess the factors affecting graft survival.
결과 : A total of 140 eyes from 138 patients (age: 58 ± 18 years) were enrolled. There were higher graft rejection and failure rates in eyes with donors age ≥65 years compared with eyes with donor age < 65 years in primary PK with imported donor corneas. (log-rank test, X2= 5.825, P = 0.016; X2= 13.058, P < 0.001, respectively). Cox regression analysis showed donor age ≥65 years are at an increased risk of both graft rejection and failure.
결론 : Donor age has influence on graft survival in Korean primary PK patients with imported donor corneas. Donor age could be a considerable factor in primary PK with imported donor corneas.
