목적 : To explore the predictive factors forone-year visual outcome ofmacular edema associated with branch retinal occlusion (BRVO) using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA)
방법 : Thirty-two patients with treatment-naïve macular edema associated with unilateral BRVO were included. All eyes received an intravitreal bevacizumab (IVB) injection and were followed with a pro re nata protocol for at least 12 months. The macular perfusion status was evaluated using OCTA at 1 month after IVB injection.
결과 : The mean visual acuity improved from 0.64±0.60 at initial visit to 0.20±0.22 at 12 months (P<0.001). Multivariate regression analysis showed that macular vessel density of both superficial and deep capillary plexus (DCP) and baseline visual acuity were significant predictors of visual outcome. During 12 months, the mean number of IVB injections was 4.5±1.9. Multivariate regression analysis showed that macular vessel density in superficial capillary plexus (SCP) and baseline central macular thickness (CMT) were significant predictors of frequency of IVB injections.
결론 : Patients with better macular perfusion and less macular ischemia are associated with better visual outcomes and fewer recurrence after bevacizumab in eyes with BRVO.
