| 안구 내 실리콘기름주입술 이후 발생한 상안검 지방육아종성 염증 및 눈꺼풀 처짐 1예 |

| 본문 : Purpose: The purpose of this article is to report a case of upper eyelid mechanical ptosis and lipogranulomatous inflammation caused by silicone oil migration.
Case summary : A 83-year-old female patient was referred to the oculoplastic clinic for the management of a left upper eyelid swelling and ptosis that developed 2 months after silicone oil exchange. Previous 23-gauge pars plana vitrectomy combined with a superotemporal Ahmed pars plana glaucoma valve implantation was performed due to neovascular glaucoma. Eye examination showed upper eyelid swelling and a ptosis induced by the weight of inflammatory tissue and silicone oil, as proved by histopathologic examination. The patient’s symptom subsided postoperatively without recurrence.
Conclusion: We discuss the possible leakage mechanisms in this particular case.
