| 뎅기열 환자에서 발생한 뎅기황반병증 1예 |

| 본문 : Purpose: To report a case of Dengue fever with Dengue maculopathy
Summary: A 39-year-old male who's work is stationed in Thailand was diagnosed with Dengue fever and was treated one week prior. He was referred to our clinic with decreased visual acuity for both eyes 4 days prior to visit. The patient’s best corrected visual acuity was 0.5 in the right eye and 1.0 in the left eye and slit lamp examiantion showed inflammatory cells in the vitreous of right eye. Fundus examination showed retinal hemorrhage on nasal side of macula in right eye and slight retinal hemorrhage on superior side of macula in left eye. Optical coherence tomography revealed high reflectivity of outer neurosensory retina. Fluorescein angiography revealed focal leakage on superonasal side of macula and fine leakage around optic disc in left eye. Symptoms did not improve 1 week after initial visit, so oral prednisolone 30mg was given for a week and tapered afterwards.
Result: 4 weeks after treatment, best corrected visual acuity was improved to 0.8 in the right eye and fundus examination showed no more retinal hemorrhage. However, symptom of blurred vision like mosaic in right eye was sustained.
Conclusion: In conclusion, oral steroid treatment showed improvement in visual acuity for Dengue fever but symptom of scotoma remained. |
