목적 : To evaluation of intraocular pressure (IOP) change after femtosecond laser procedure for cataract surgery
방법 : Retrospective medical chart review was performed for 22 eyes of 22 patients who had underwent same pattern of femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery during July 2014 to September 2014. IOPs before femtosecond laser procedure, immediately after laser procedure, 30 minutes after laser procedure and 1 hour after laser procedure were measured. Nuclear sclerosis grades and laser powers of each eyes were also measured.
결과 : Mean nuclear sclerosis grade was 3.09±1.15. Mean laser power for arcuate incision (AI) was 2.51±0.44J. Mean IOP (mmHg) before laser procedure, immediately after laser procedure, 30 minutes after laser procedure and 1 hour after laser procedure were 16.23±2.93, 26.64±9.03, 22.86±10.19 and 18.41±7.32, respectively. There were significant increase in mean IOP immediately after laser procedure (p=0.001) and 30 minutes after laser procedure (p=0.003) compared with pre-laser procedure IOP. Elevated IOP returned to pre-laser procedure IOP level (p=0.134) at 1 hour after laser procedure.
결론 : The result shows that there is an IOP elevation after femtosecond laser procedure and that elevated IOP decrease as time passes. Therefore, the timing of beginning of cataract surgery after femtosecond laser should be considered dealing with not only efficiency but also safety of cataract surgery.
