본문 : A healthy 16-year-old Korean male presented to our clinic in September 26, 2018 with blurred vision in his left eye. He had no specific birth or family history. He had no past medical or surgical or trauma history. On ocular examination, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 0 logMAR in his right eye and Hand motion in his left eye. Intraocular pressures was 17 mmHg in his right eye and 13 mmHg in his left eye. Slit-lamp examination demonstrated a Mittendorf spot located in the inferior nasal quadrant of the posterior capsule in his left eye. Fundus examination revealed diffuse vitreous hemorrhage (VH) and the fundus was invisible due to massive VH in his left eye. The right eye fundus was normal. B-scan ultrasonography showed VH with no other finding in his left eye. Laboratory tests including coagulating factors were normal. His blood pressure was normal. The VH partially decreased two weeks later and the BCVA improved to 0.4 logMAR. The wide field fundus photography was taken after the decrease of the VH. The persistent hyaloid artery (PHA) was found in his left eye. No retinal break was found. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the optic nerve showed Bergmeister’s papilla and the PHA in his left eye. OCT angiography of the optic nerve was taken, but blood flow of the PHA was not definite. The VH was disappeared after 2 month. No serious disorders have been observed in his left eye during the follow-up period.
