목적 : To evaluate the ultra-widefield fluorescein angiography (UWFA) findings in patients with Irvine-Gass syndrome
방법 : Consecutive UWFA images were collected from 17 patients (33 eyes) with cystoid macular edema (CME) after cataract surgery. UWFA was evaluated according to a system suggested by the Angiography Scoring for Uveitis Working Group (ASUWG). Demographic and ophthalmologic characteristics which were associated with a high ASUWG score were evaluated.
결과 : Thirty-three eyes (100.0%) of 33 eyes showed abnormal UWFA other than the macular leakages, including peripheral retinal vascular leakage (8 eyes, 24.2%), peripheral capillary staining or leakage (33 eyes, 100.0%), optic disc staining (27 eyes, 81.8%). Patients with preoperative epiretinal membrane showed higher ASUWG scores (p=0.015).
결론 : Irvine-Gass syndrome represents a generalized retinal edema according to the breakdown of blood-retinal barrier after cataract surgery. Cautions must be taken to patients with abnormal preoperative OCT findings for cataract surgery.
