목적 : To measure the choroidal vascularity index (CVI)) in eyes with open angle glaucoma (OAG) eyes and to compare it with healthy eyes. 방법 : One-hundred and twelve patients with OAG and 56 healthy subjects matched by age were enrolled. Total choroidal area (TCA) and CVI were measured by using an image binarization of SD-OCT B-scans to assess choroidal vasculature outside the ß-zone parapapillary atrophy (ßPPA) at a 3.5 mm distance from the bruch’s membrane (BM) opening center. TCA and CVI values of the two groups were compared. 결과 : The two groups did not differ in age and axial length (P < 0.05). Both TCA (6.23 ± 1.24 mm2 vs. 3.98 ± 1.36 mm2) and CVI (65.01 ± 2.56 % vs. 61.87 ± 3.54 %; P = 0.01) were significantly larger in healthy subjects than OAG patients. 결론 : Reduced peripapillary choroidal vasculature and a subsequent choroidal thinning was observed in OAG patients compared with normal healthy subjects.
