목적 : The purpose of this study was to analyze surgical outcomes of conjunctivalmüllerectomy according to response after phenylephrine test in ptosis patients and its relationship with causes of ptosis.
방법 : Retrospective review of medical records of patients who underwent conjunctivalmüllerectomy between 2007 and 2015. We evaluated causes of ptosis, MRD1 difference before and after phenylephrine(PE) test, MRD1 difference before and after surgery. Surgical success was defined as 1mm or less of MRD1 difference between both eyelids after surgery.
결과 : 29 of 33 eyes showed surgical success. MRD1 difference between both eyelids in success group was 0.22 ± 0.54mm and 1.50 ± 0.41mm in the undercorrection group. In patients whose MRD1 of ptotic eyelids were same or higher than contralateral eyelids after PE test, MRD1 difference before and after surgery was 2.20 ± 0.44mm. In the remaining group, MRD1 difference was 1.57 ± 1.08mm and that showed statistically significant less increase of lid margin than the former group. (p=0.026) MRD1 difference after PE test in undercorrectiongroup was 0.75mm.
결론 : We get cosmetically excellent surgical outcomes in mild ptosis patients by conjunctivalmüllerectomy following to precede analysis of causes of ptosis and evaluation of response after PE test.
