본문 : A 10-year-old female underwent serial fundus photography and optical coherent tomography (OCT) for eye examination. During a regular checkup in January 2017, the spherical equivalent (SE) for the left eye was -3.75 diopter (D) and the disc margin was clear. One and a half year later in July 2018, the SE for the left eye was changed to -5.25 D along with morphologic changes of the optic disc. The blurring of the optic disc margin and the elevation of optic nerve head was manifest in the nasal side, while nasal migration of visible optic disc margin was observed in the temporal side. As myopia progresses and axial length become longer, optic nerve redundancy or tortuosity may increase. Along this change, the optic nerve tissue can be pushed forward, and the optic nerve head margin can become blurred. |
