목적 : To evaluate aspect of recurrent macular edema(ME) and predictive factors of resolution ME due to branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO).
방법 : This retrospective study included 15 eyes with recurrent ME due to BRVO after intravitreal injection. Recurrent ME was defined by optical coherence tomography(OCT) as central macular thickness(CMT) was over 250 µm or cystoid ME reappear after complete resolution. All patients had visited hospital monthly. Visual acuity(VA), intraocular pressure(IOP) and CMT at first visit and right prior to following injections was compared.
결과 : The mean baseline VA, IOP and CMT were 0.40 LogMAR, 13.1 mmHg and 533.57 µm. The mean interval of the first recurrence ME after resolution was 4.7 months. The mean VA, IOP and CMT at before second injection were 0.27 LogMAR, 13.6 mmHg and 449.13 µm, respectively. The CMT before second injection was significantly decreased compared with first visit (p=0.035). 10 patients got third injection and two got forth injection. 80% of second ME showed decreased CMT compared with first ME. 60% of third and 100% of forth ME showed decreased CMT compared with second and third ME.
결론 : CMT of recurrent ME due to BRVO was decreased gradually. Decreased macular thickness can be useful predictive tool of ME recovery.
