목적 : To determine the effect of suction duration on size of capsulotomy flap created by a precision pulse capsulotomy (PPC) device in porcine eyes.
방법 : Twenty porcine eyes were randomly assigned to three groups according to different additional suction durations: group 1 (0 second), group 2 (5 seconds), and group 3 (10 seconds). A Zepto (Mynosys Cellular Devices, Inc.) with a nitinol capsulotomy ring was used to create a capsulotomy flap. Free capsulotomy flap was set on a ruler and photographs were obtained using a camera connected to a surgical microscope. The pixel number of 5 mm gradations on a ruler and the inner diameter of capsulotomy flap were measured using ImageJ.
결과 : The mean capsulotomy diameter of group 1, group 2 and group 3 was (4.05±0.1)mm, (4.02±0.1)mm and (4.11±0.2)mm, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference among three groups (p>0.05).
결론 : The PPC in porcine eyes, an increase in suction duration did not affect capsulotomy size.
