A Case Report of Primary Orbital Melanoma

Purpose : Orbital melanoma can be primary or secondary according to the sources. Most melanoma of the orbit are secondary to the melanoma of other parts of the body. Primary orbital melanoma(POM) is rare relatively, and most patients may suffer from melanosis before the POM. The clinical manifestations includes exophthalmos, eyelid swelling and so on, which are nonspecific, sometimes we can touch the tumor around the orbital margin. It’s easy to be misdiagnosed and mistreated. In this case, a 37-year-old man complained about the progress of protopsis and vision loss of his right eye for 5 months. At last he was diagnosed as the primary orbital melanoma after the surgery. Methods : . Results : . Conclusion : .
