쥐에서 소포체 스트레스에의해 유발된 건성안에 대한 Rapamycin의 효과

목적 : To investigate whether rapamycin protect the tear and ocular surface against the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-induced dry eye syndrome in mice. 방법 : Tunicamycin (TM) was injected intraperitoneally in balb/c mice with or without rapamycin. Phosphate buffered saline was injected intraperitoneally in control group. Blinking rate, fluorescein staining score (FSS) and phenol red-thread tear secretion test were measured 4 days, 1 week, and 2 weeks after treatment. Levels of inflammatory mediators and VEGF were measured by ELISA. 결과 : Blinking rate and FSS were elevated in TM group compared to control (p<0.05). Tear secretion was decreased in TM group compared to control (p<0.05). However, blinking rate, FSS and tear secretion were not different between rapamycin group and control group and were different between rapamycin group and TM group 4 days, 1 week, and 2 weeks after treatment (p<0.05). Levels of inflammatory mediators and VEGF were elevated in TM group and decreased in rapamycin group compared to TM group (p<0.05). 결론 : Intraperitoneal injection of TM induced dry eye syndrome in mice. Rapamycin protected the tear and ocular surface against the ER stress-induced dry eye syndrome in mice.
