목적 : To describe the clinical characteristics of Korean patients with pericentral retinal degeneration (PRD)
방법 : This retrospective study reviewed the medical records of patients with PRD. Visual acuities, the presence of nyctalopia, visual field, ISCEV standardized full-field ERG, and spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) were evaluated.
결과 : Twenty-eight eyes of 14 (8 male, 6 female) patients aged 22-78 years were evaluated. Mean BCVA by log MAR was 0.63±0.68 initially and 0.67±0.53 at last visit. Nyctalopia was reported in 35.7 %. All patients underwent full-field ERG and both rod and cone signals were markedly reduced. Central or paracentral scotomas of varying size were seen on Goldmann perimetry. SD-OCT was performed in all patients and revealed outer retinal disruption, showing fovea-sparing disease (57.1%) and foveal involvement (28.6%). Fours eyes (14.3%) had more peripheral disease with normal macula covered by OCT.
결론 : Patients with PRD showed decreased visual function and macular structural damage, demonstrated by full-field ERG, Goldmann perimetry, and SD-OCT. Decreased vision and nyctalopia were observed in some cases.
