목적 : We aim to compare the axial length and keratometry in Grave's disease patients after taking methimazole.
방법 : Patients who first diagnosed as Grave's disease were the subject of our study. 28 patients(4 males, 24 females, mean age = 44.14 ± 12.92) were participated. Each patient took a IOL master and keratometry 2 times, at first time of their visit before taking Methimazole and after 1 month treatment of Methimazole.
결과 : After 1 month treatment of methimazole in Grave's disease patients, axial length was generally increased(24.36 ± 1.51 mm at first, 24.43 ± 1.5 mm at 1month later, Δ (Post-Pre) = 0.07 ± 0.4, p=0.196). In keratometry, horizontal dioptor was increased(42.98 ± 1.09 D at first, 43 ± 1.05 D at 1month later, Δ (Post-Pre) = 0.01 ± 0.36, p=0.781), and vertical dioptor also increased(43.51 ± 1.55 D at first, 43.56 ± 1.45 D at 1month later, Δ (Post-Pre) = 0.04 ± 0.45, p=0.461)
결론 : In Grave's disease patients after taking methimazole, axial length, horizontal and vertical dioptor in keratometry were increased.
