본문 : Purpose
To report a case of angioid streak combined with atypical central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC).
Case summary
A 37-year-old man presented with blurred vision in both eyes. He had been followed for angioid streaks and had no known underlying associated systemic disease. At presentation, his best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 20/20 in both eyes and examination of anterior segments and fundus was unremarkable except for the presence of angioid streaks. Optical coherence tomography showed bilateral subretinal fluid (SRF) and a central scotoma was observed in his right eye on Humphrey visual field testing. Fluorescence and indocyanine angiography demonstrated multiple pinpoint leaks in the right eye, and hyperfluorescent angioid streaks in the early phase in his both eyes. Intravitreal bevacizumab (1.25 mg/0.05 mL) injection was administered in his right eye.Resolution of SRF was observed 1 month after the injection. For 2.5 years after the injection, no SRF was observed and the BCVA in both eyes remained stable.
Conclusion
Intravitreal bevacizumab injection for atypical CSC combined with angioid streaks resulted in the resolution of SRF; additionally, it maintained a stable fundus with no recurrence of SRF during long-term follow up.
