쇼그렌 증후군과 동반된 건성안 환자의 눈물막 지질층 두께 평가

목적 : To evaluate lipid layer thickness (LLT) of tear film and ocular surface changes in Sjögren's syndrome (SS) dry eye patients. 방법 : We recruited 66 patients from 2 institutions (2 men, 64 women; mean age 56.84 ± 7.86 years) with SS dry eye and 56 normal control subjects (2 men, 54 women; mean age 57.73 ± 6.33 years). Using the LipiView Ⅱ® System (Tearscience®, Morrisville, NY, USA), LLT of their right eye were obtained. Fluorescein and rose bengal staining scores of right eye were examined. 결과 : Average LLT of the SS participants (86.27 ± 19.46) was significantly higher than control group (66.82 ± 16.16) (p < 0.05). Mean duration from sjogren diagnosis to lipiview test was 42 months (from 0 to 134 months). In SS group, duration of SS has strong negative correlation (r=-0.611) with LLT (p < .01). Fluorescein and rose bengal staining scores were significantly higher in the SS group (p < 0.05). 결론 : Dry eye patients with SS showed higher LLT than normal subject. An increase in tear lipid production might compensate for aqueous deficiency. Strong negative correlation between duration of SS and LLT seemed to indicate the compensation ability of lipid for aqueous deficiency has drained according to the duration of SS.
