실험적 녹내장 여과수술에서 matrix metalloproteinase 억제제의 안정성에 대한 연구

목적 : We evaluated the safety of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitor on experimental glaucoma filtration surgery in anial odel. 방법 : Fifteen New Zealand white rabbits underwent an experimental trabeculectomy and were randomly allocated into three groups : no treatment group, Mitomycin C soaking group, MMP inhibitor (ilomastat) injection group. Slit lamp examination with seidel testing, pachymetry, specular microscopy was done preoperativelay and postoperatively. Conjunctiva and ciliary body toxicity were evaluated to score according to the pathologic grading systes. Electron microscope was used to examine the structural changes of ocular tissues. 결과 : In ilomastat- treated groups, there was no significant change of central corneal thickness between preoperative and postoperative 28 days (p=0.65). There were also no significant changes in specular microscopy findings over the duration of the study in ilomastat-treated group. Conjunctival toxicity score was 1 in control group, 1.5 in ilomastat-treated group and 2 in MMC-treated group. When assessing ciliary body toxicity score, ilomastat-treated group showed 0.5 and MMC-treated group showed 1.5. Transmission electron microscopy did not show the structural change of cornea and ciliary body. 결론 : Single subconjunctival injection of MMP inhibitor in experimental trabeculectomy does not show the toxic affect the rabbit cornea and ciliary body.
