본문 : Strabismus can occur after retinal reattachment surgery with scleral buckling (SB). Most of these cases showed a spontaneous resolution during follow-up. However, a few cases required surgical treatment to restore ocular alignment. When planning the surgical treatment of strabismus in patients who underwent SB, a first consideration would be whether buckle removal should be performed. The effect of SB removal on the surgical outcome remains controversial. There have been no report of surgical treatment of large angle of esotropia after SB without buckle removal. We performed a surgical treatment of a large-angle esotropia after SB without buckle removal and achieved good surgical outcome. Herein, we report the case. |
