본문 : Various ocular and systemic reactions have been associated with insect sting. However, insect sting has been rarely reported to cause exotropia and diplopia. We encountered exotropia in a 6-year-old child with rhabdomyolysis at the left lower extremity caused by an insect sting. One day after the sting, exotropia and diplopia developed, which improved completely one week after the onset. The clinician needs for awareness of development of exotropia in patient who had an insect sting and careful follow-up would be needed. |
