목적 : To introduce and, to find out about preventive methods for punctal stricture after punctal mass removal.
방법 : 10 patients were reviewed. 4 were treated with Mini-monoka(Group A), 2 were treated with Mono-encirclage silicone tube(Group B, 0.64mm), 2 were treated with Double-encirclage silicone tube (Group C, 0.64mm), and 2 were treated with Double-encirclage silicone tube(Group D, 0.94mm).
All the tube was removed after 2 month. Evaluation of anatomical size and epiphora was checked in 3 Mo. after surgery. Follow-up periods were from 6Mo to 1yr. Anatomical success was evaluated with opening-size (upper punctum : over 0.5mm, lower punctum : over 0.6mm) and Functional success was evaluated with epiphora.
결과 : Anotomical success rate is 25% of Group A, 50% of Group B, 100% of Group C and Group D.
Functional success rate is 25% of Group A, 50% of Group B, 100% of Group C and Group D.
결론 : In case of Mini-monoka insertion, reoperation was needed in 75%. In case of upper punctal mass, mono-layered tube insertion was supposed to be useful, and in case of lower punctal mass, double-layered tube insertion was supposed to be more useful in stricture prevention.
