목적 : To quantitative evaluate quality of life (QOL), depression, and anxiety state of low vision patient. And, to estimate the impact of acquired property on QOL, depression, and anxiety compare congenital low vision group with acquired low vision group. 방법 : Consecutive 100 low vision patients who visited low vision clinic of Chung-Ang University hospital were included. The low vision patients were divided into congenital low vision group and acquired low vision group. One hundred people who have normal visual function set as a control group with age and sex matched. Each group performed national eye institute 25-item visual function questionnaire, Beck depression inventory, Beck anxiety inventory. Independent t-test, univariate, multivariate regression analysis, and correlation analysis was performed to compare the result. 결과 : The Low vision group present significantly lower level of QOL, depressive state, anxiety state than normal control group. The acquired low vision group present significant lower in six subscales of NEI VFQ-25 and BDI score than congenital low vision group Univariate and multivariate regression analysis revealed that acquired property has as same impact as degree of visual impairment with QOL and was only associated factor with depression and anxiety state. In correlation analysis, BDI and BAI score was reverse significant correlation with mental health subscale 결론 : Low vision patient has lower level of QOL and worse depression and anxiety states which selectively need expert consultation. The deterioration of QOL and mental health were more severe in acquired low vision group compared with congenital low vision group. Especially, acquired property is important independent factor associated with QOL and mental health. Therefore, in the process of low vision rehabilitation, to obtain successful outcome, it is critical point attention to acquired property and evaluation of QOL, depression, and anxiety for individualized integrated rehabilitation approach.
