본문 : Fibrous hamartoma of infancy is a rare, benign lesion of the superficial soft tissue, typically presenting within the first 2 years of life. It is usually located on the upper extremities, axilla, and upper back. There have been no prior reports of lesions affecting the orbit. We report a case of a 7-month old boy who was found to have orbital fibrous hamartoma of infancy. He had a right hypertropia and a limitation of infraduction in the right eye. A mass on the right anteroinferior orbit, involving the inferior rectus and inferior oblique muscles, was found during orbital magnetic resonance imaging. Inferior orbitotomy and excisional biopsy were performed, and pathologic examination confirmed fibrous hamartoma of infancy. A right hypertropia and a limitation of infraduction moderately improved after surgery. |
