본문 : To report a case of angioid streaks combined with atypical central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC).
A 37-year-old male presented with blurred vision of both eyes. He had been followed up for angioid streaks and there was no known underlying systemic disease associated with angioid streaks. At presentation, his best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 20/20 in both eyes and examination of anterior segments and fundus was unremarkable except for angioid streaks. Optical coherence tomography showed bilateral subretinal fluid (SRF) and central scotoma was observed in his right eye on Humphrey visual field. Fluorescence and indocyanine angiography demonstrated multiple pinpoint leakage in the right eye, and hyperfluorescent of angioid streaks in the early phase in his both eyes.
The patient was treated with intravitreal bevacizumab (1.25mg/0.05mL) and BCVA remained the same, but SRF was resolved. 2 years after the treatment, the status of his fundus in the right eye and BCVA were stationary.
Intravitreal bevacizumab injection for atypical CSC combined with angioid streaks not only resulted in the improvement of subretinal fluid, but also maintains the fundus stable with preventing the progression of the disease long-termly. |
