목적 : Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT angiography) is a novel non-invasive imaging technique to visualize ocular blood flow in retina and choroidal vascular network. It has a potential wide applicability for retinal and choroidal vascular disease. We introduce the technology of OCTA and compare it with the current gold standards of angiography such as fluorescein angiography (FA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICGA). In addition, we summarize its potential application to retinal and choroidal vascular diseases. 방법 : OCT angiography is based on algorithms which converts multiple A-scans into OCT angiogrphy images. Swept source OCT (SS OCT) is ideal device of OCT angiography due to provide fast, and higher resolution images than SD-OCT angiography. OCT angiography is a dye-less method. It is quick and non-invasive, and provides volumetric angiographic data. With this technique, we could have the clinical capability of specifically localizing and delineating pathology along with the ability to show both structural and blood flow information. 결과 : OCTA has potential efficacy in the evaluation of retinal vascular diseases such diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and glaucoma. In addition, OCT angiography can detect changes in choroidal vascular abnormalities such as choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in a variety of conditions but especially in AMD. 결론 : OCT angiography is a novel non-invasive imaging technique to retinal and choroidal microvascular network. Further studies are needed to more definitively determine OCT angiography's utility in the clinical setting.
