목적 : To investigate and compare the corneal biomechanical properties in patients with normal tension glaucoma and primary open angle glaucoma.
방법 : 54 patients with normal tension glaucoma(NTG) and 46 patients with primary open angle glaucoma(POAG) were enrolled. Corneal biomechanical properties were examined using a noncontact Scheimpflug-based tonometer, Corvis ST.
결과 : POAG patients had significantly smaller deformation amplitude compared to NTG patients. In the multivariate analysis, deformation amplitude was significantly associated with age, intraocular pressure, keratometer, and axial length. In NTG patients, axial length had positive correlation with axial length, which was significantly different from normal and POAG patients.
결론 : POAG patients had less deformable corneas compared to NTG patients. Axial length and corneal biomechanical properties had positive correlation in NTG patients.
