목적 : We evaluated the effect of ocular surface and tear function after HSCT in non-chronic GVHD-related dry eye. 방법 : This prospective control study was conducted in one institution (Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital) from Jan. 2013 to Feb. 2014. The patients had systemic or ocular inflammatory disease or retinal disease were excluded. In patients without chronic GVHD-related dry eye, visual acuity, intra ocular pressure (IOP), ocular surface state, tear function exam was done before and after (1, 2, and 3 months respectively) HSCT. 결과 : Total 56 eyes of 28 patients were included and the wastage rates was 6.7 %. Comparison with the group (before HSCT), there is statistically significant tendency of aggravated Tear break-up time (p<0.01), Schirmer test score (p<0.01), OSDI score (p<0.01), Ocular staining score (Oxford) (p<0.01) in other group (1, 2, and 3 months after HSCT, respectively). In the analysis between groups, there is no difference in visual acuity (p<0.01) and IOP. Tear break-up time (p<0.01), Schirmer test score (p<0.01) OSDI score (p<0.01) were worsen, but Ocular staining score (Oxford) (p<0.01) was not. 결론 : Regardless of GVHD, HSCT aggravated instability of ocular surface and reduced tear function in dry eye. This may be major one of the risk factors causing subjective ocular discomfort in patients after HSCT.
