목적 : The purpose of this study was to see if initial levels of thyroid autoantibodies including thyroid-stimulating immunoglobulin (TSI) and anti-TSH receptor antibody (TBII) in Graves' ophthalmopathy. 방법 : This was a retrospective review of all the patients at Kim's Eye Hospital with thyroid orbitopathy between January 2008 and May 2011, who had TSI, TBII titers and thyroid function test obtained at the time of diagnosis. The patients were subgrouped as myopathy dominant (shown muscle hypertrophy on orbital computed tomography), lid problem dominant. The ocular findings at initial visit were analyzed in relation to the thyroid autoantibodies. 결과 : Forty-six patients were included (22 female, 24 male). Thirty-nine (85%) of the 68 patients had positive TSI levels at the time of diagnosis. The TSI levels of myopathy dominant group was higher than lid problem dominant group (P=0.033). However, TBII did not have a significant difference among group (P=0.956). TSI level had a correlation with level of T3 and freeT4 (rho=0.410, p=0.009 and rho=0.460, p=0.003, respectively), and TBII level was correlated with only level of T3 (rho=0.406, p=0.019) in the TFT. 결론 : The GO patients with myopathy had a high level of TSI. In addition, TSI was correlated with abnormal TFT. TSI could be an indicator of myopathy dominant patients.
