목적 : To investigate choroidal thickness(CT) outside of macula in central serous chorioretinopathy(CSC). 방법 : We reviewed medical records of patients of unilateral idiopathic CSC patients. Peripapillary and macular CT was investigated with the images obtained by three dimensional optical coherence tomography(3D-OCT). With the 3.4mm circle scan positioned around the optic disc and line scans centerd on the fovea, CT was measured manually. Peripapillary CT was measured at 12 sectors of the peripapillary area and macular CT was measured at subfovea, 500um and 1500 um distance from the fovea nasally and temporally. All measurement were performed by two independent observers. 결과 : Peripapillary CT in all sectors and macular CT of CSC group and fellow eye group were thicker than that of control group (all, P < 0.05). But there was no difference in nasal peripapillary CT between CSC group and fellow eye group. Temporal peripapiliiary CT of CSC group were thicker than fellow eye group (all P < 0.05). In CSC group, the percent of mean CT compared with control group and fellow eye group in temporal peripapillary area and nasal macular area 1500um distant from the fovea were greater than nasal peripapillary area and temporal macular area, respectively. 결론 : In addition to macular area, nasal peripapillary CT was also thicker in CSC and fellow eyes than in normal controls. However, it was not different between CSC and fellow eyes. It suggests that patients with CSC have thicker choroid in posterior pole and further thickening of choroid in macular area may induced subretinal fluid.
