목적 : To evaluate the treatment outcomes of anti-VEGF monotherapy in patients with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) that show large aneurismal dilation with internal angio-architecture consisting of diverse patterns of curvilinear vessels and polyps resembling grape clusters.
방법 : Twenty eyes of 20 patients were included. All patients received anti-VEGF monotherapy. The main outcome measures were change in best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and the rates of recurrent exudative changes and polyp regression. We also focused on changes in the vascular features and their clinical association. Minimum follow-up period was 12 months.
결과 : During mean follow-up of 18.58 ± 4.59 months, mean numbers of anti-VEGF injection
were 9.45 ± 2.81. The logMAR BCVA (mean ± standard deviation) improved from 0.47±0.24 to 0.32±0.25. Partial regression of polypoidal lesions was observed in 6 eyes. No eyes showed subretinal hemorrhage or RPE tear.
결론 : Significant visual improvement by anti-VEGF monotherapy was maintained in this PCV pattern with lower rate of complication.
