Macular Ganglion Cell Complex and Peripapillary Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer Measurements by Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography in Superior Segmental Optic Hypoplasia

목적 : To quantitatively assess the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and macular ganglion cell complex (GCC) in superior segmental optic hypoplasia with optical coherence tomography (OCT) 방법 : Twenty-one eyes from 24 eyes of 21 patients with SSOH were enrolled and 23 eyes of 21 control subjects were matched for age and optic disc size. The Cirrus OCT was performed for the quantitative assessment of the macular GCC and peripapillary RNFL. 결과 : The OCT images showed that the eyes with SSOH had significantly thinner peripapillary RNFL than the control subjects in all segments except for the temporal area and thinner macular GCC in all areas except for the inferonasal area. 결론 : More generalized thinning of the peripapillary RNFL except temporal area and macular GCC except for the inferonasal area in SSOH were identified using OCT.
