본문 : A 50-year-old woman visited was referred to the ophthalmology clinic, with blurry vision due to subretinal mass of the right eye for 1 month. Uncorrected visual acuity of the right eye was 0.2, and 0.9 with correction, with hyperopic shift (+sph2.25 –cyl0.75 Axis 90). Slit lamp examination showed no remarkable findings in the anterior segment. Vitreous was also clear. Fundus examination via indirect ophthalmoscope showed multiple yellow-orange colored choroidal mass at posterior pole in the right eye. Fluorescence angiography showed stippled hyperfluorescence with late phase staining. Ultrasound sonography showed homogenous intraocular elevation which was acoustically empty, and lesion size was base 11.93 mm with height 2.71 mm. On magnetic resonance imaging of brain and orbit, the subretinal mass was hyperintensity in T1, and hypointesnity on T2 images. Systemic evaluation revealed no primary malignancy lesion in the body. Under the diagnosis of reactive lymphoid hyperplasia of the uvea, systemic steroid treatment was started. After 2 weeks, uncorrected visual acuity of the right eye improved to 0.8, and choroidal elevation was improved. On ultrasonography, size of choroidal mass was measured as base 8.80 mm with height 1.87 mm. Then, steroid was tapered. Here, we report the first Korean case who was diagnosed as reactive lymphoid hyperplasia of the uvea.
