목적 : To evaluate the efficacy and safety of combination treatment for oculodermal melanocytosis removal using combined surgical reduction and a 532-nm Quality-switched Nd:YAG laser.
방법 : Removal of ocular pigmentation using combination treatment was performed in 50 eyes of 47 patients with oculodermal melanocytosis at the Asan Medical Center, Seoul, Republic of Korea, between January 2009 and January 2013. The safety and cosmetic efficacy of the new surgical strategy was assessed by patients and observer.
결과 : In all patients, ocular pigmentation was reduced succesfully, and most patients were satisfied cosmetically. Preoperative and postoperative visual acuities, keratometric powers, and refractive errors did not differ significantly. Postoperative Intraocular pressures (IOP) were reduced significantly. During the follow-ups, there was no serious adverse event other than conjunctival neovascularization in 5 patients.
결론 : Combination treatment for oculodermal melanocytosis removal seemed to be cosmetically satisfactory and safe. This procedure provides improvements for efficacy and safety over conventional method.
