목적 : To evaluate the characteristics of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) and associated retinal breaks after laser in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK), and compare these characteristics with myopic RRD without prior refractive surgery and those with prior laser assisted sub-epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK).
방법 : A total 106 eyes (106 patients), including 21 eyes with LASIK, 13 eyes with LASEK, and 72 eyes with myopic RRD, were retrospectively analyzed. Characteristics included distribution of RRD and associated retinal breaks, mean axial length (AXL), presence of lattice degeneration, and mean numbers of retinal breaks.
결과 : In the LASIK group, mean AXL was 26.83±1.73 mm and the mean number of retinal holes and tears per eye were 2.05±2.09 and 1.52±0.60, respectively. Retinal holes and tears were more prevalent in the temporal quadrant (81.3% and 60.0%, respectively), and the most frequently involved area was the inferotemporal quadrant (52.4%). Compared with the myopic RRD group, there were no significant differences in AXL (P=.893), mean number of retinal holes and tears (P=.237 and P=.492). Distribution of RRD, and retinal holes and tears were also not significantly different (P=.525, P=.765, and P=.366).
결론 : The characteristics of retinal breaks and RRD in patients with prior refractive surgery did not significantly differ from those with myopic RRD.
