목적 : To report the results of treatments and therapeutic complications of retinal capillary hemangioblastomas (RCH). 방법 : Retrospective, consecutive case series. Data of 32 patients with RCH were reviewed for characteristics of RCH, methods of treatment, and visual outcome after treatments. Statistical analysis using SAS GENMOD was used to determine factors affecting RCH stability. 결과 : 65% of involved eyes had 20/50 visual acuity or better and 13% had poor vision (≤20/400). Retinal features of RCH were exudation(60%), macular edema(32%), retinal striae(16%), and tractional retinal detachment(8%). After treatment, 89% of small RCH (<0.5 mm) were regressed, whereas only 69% of large RCH (>3.0 mm) were stabilized(P = 0.036). Peripheral RCH showed better response to treatment than juxtapapillary RCH(P = 0.014). Complication after treatment occurred in 14% and poor final vision was associated with poor initial vision, large RCH, exudation or retinal detachment, and complication. 결론 : Because of continued growth of RCH, small tumors may require early treatment. In larger RCHs, incidences of exudation or tractional detachment usually increased, and treatment outcome was poor. Staged treatment could be beneficial in the case of complicated RCH.
