목적 : To evaluate changes of higher-order aberrations(HOAs) after intrastromal corneal ring segments(ICRS) implantation in keratoconus eyes with centric and eccentric cones.
방법 : This retrospective study was comprised 35 eyes of 35 keratoconus patients. The keratoconus eyes with centric cones(group1: 20eyes) were implanted symmetric Intacs(Addition Technology, California, USA) and those with eccentric cones(group2: 15eyes) underwent asymmetric Intacs implantation. Uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA), and manifest refraction were performed, and corneal keratometry, thinnest thickness, and HOAs were measured using PentacamⓇ(OCULUS, Germany) before and after at 1year.
결과 : In the both groups, UCVA, BCVA, and spherical equivalent(SE) improved significantly at 1year(p<0.05). Anterior average keratometry showed significant decrease(p<0.05), and that of posterior surface increased significantly(p<0.05) in two groups at 1year postoperatively. Change of corneal thinnest thickness was not statistically significant(p>0.05). At 1year, the total HOAs, coma, spherical aberration of anterior corneal surface decreased significantly(p<0.05), while HOAs of posterior corneal surface was not significant change(p>0.05) in group1 and group2.
결론 : In two groups, we observed improvement of the vision and anterior corneal HOAs. Intacs may contribute to improve visual acuity and help to delay keratoplasty in progressive keratoconus.
