목적 : The purpose of the present study is to compare Nd:YAG capsulotomy rates between acrylic three piece and one piece intraocular lenses.
방법 : This retrospective study enrolled patients who received cataract surgery performed by a single surgeon. Seventeen patients included in the study were implanted with SN60WF (Alcon) one piece intraocular lens in one eye and YA-60BBR (Hoya) three piece intraocular lens in the contralateral eye. The Nd:YAG capsulotomy rates were compared between the two groups 12 months after the operation.
결과 : Among the 17 patients who were implanted with 2 different types of intraocular lenses, Nd:YAG capsulotomy was performed in only 2 eyes (12%) in the SN60WF one piece intraocular lens group and 9 eyes (53%) in the YA-60BBR three piece intraocular lens ; significant difference was found(p < 0.05).
결론 : This study shows a greater incidence of Nd:YAG capsulotomy in patients who received three piece lenses when compared to those who received one piece lenses.
