목적 : In this study, we examined the stability of LAS (lens angle supporter) for accommodation restoration by comparing the IOL location, after-cataract and ciliary body damage after cataract surgeries in rabbits
방법 : Eight rabbits were operated on after being divided into an experimental group of four rabbits and a control group of four rabbits. Phacoemulsification and I&A followed by LAS and IOL insertion were administered to the four rabbits in the experimental group. For the four rabbits in the control group, only the IOL was inserted after phacoemulsification and I&A. Six months after the surgery, through slit lamp examination and Miyake-apple view, the location of the IOL, conditions of the lens capsule and ciliary body were examined.
결과 : In experimental group, based on the UBM results, the LAS and IOL showed normal positioning in all four cases. According to the slit lamp examination and Miyake-apple view, the IOL was positioned at the center with little after-cataract and ciliary body damage. In control group, according to the UBM results, the control group showed cases where the IOL was located at an upper position than normal, and also a single case where the IOL was decenterd. According to the slit lamp examination and Miyake-apple view, the IOL was decentered and more after-cataract and ciliary body damage were found.
결론 : The LAS maintained a stable position without any issues when LASs were used for lens angle reconstruction in correcting presbyopia. The positioning of the IOL was also stable and less after-cataract occurred.
