절단된 10-0 polypropylene 봉합사의 single fisherman 매듭으로 이어준 봉합사의 물리적 특성 및 임상적 효용성

목적 : We introduce the clinical useful knot technique, Single Fisherman’s knot(SFK) in ophthalmic surgery area and evaluate the physical properties. 방법 : Maximum tensile strength was measured using materials testing machine in 10-0 polypropylene and SFK. Sclera shell model was studied to confirm whether SFK has sufficient knot security and friction during passing-through the partial and full-thickness sclera shell. 결과 : Mean tensile strength of 10-0 polypropylene and SFK were 0.47±0.02N and 0.27±0.05N (p=0.02). SFK had about 60% of maximum tensile strength of intact suture. Sclera shell model demonstrated that SFK had sufficient knot security and low friction during passing-through partial and full-thickness sclera shell. 결론 : SFK is very useful and simple technique that provides the sufficient knot security and low friction of the fractured 10-0 polypropylene in the ophthalmic surgery area.
