목적 : To compare the imaging of diabetic retinopathy using ultra–widefield fluorescein angiography (WF) with that seen on an overly of conventional 7 standard field imaging (SF) 방법 : Fourteen eyes of 10 patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy who underwent fluorescein angiography using the Optos Optomap Panoramic 200A imaging system were included. The retinal nonperfusion, retinal neovascularization, and panretinal photocoagulation were quantified by two independent masked graders. The respective areas identified on the WF image were compared with an overly of a modified 7SF image as outlined in the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study. 결과 : In 8 of 14 eyes (57.1%), WF demonstrated progression of diabetic retinopathy with increment of nonperfusion (P=0.093), while only 4 eyes (28.6%) showed increment of nonperfusion in SF (P=0.575). During following up, 2 of 14 eyes (14%) showed newly detected neovascularization not evident in an SF overly. 결론 : Compared with conventional SF imaging, WF shows significantly improved retinal visualization and improves the detection rates of progression in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
