목적 : To report two cases of retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickening as measured by Cirrus high-definition spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) associated with vitreopapillary traction.
방법 : Consecutive peripapillary RNFL thickness assessments were performed by using OCT in eyes with glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
결과 : OCT measurements revealed RNFL thickening when compared with the prior examination. A vitreopapillary traction to the thickened side of the RNFL was noted in a cross-sectional image of the optic nerve head obtained by OCT.
결론 : Given that RNFL thickening can mask glaucomatous changes of the RNFL, caution is needed in glaucoma evaluation in eyes with vitreopapillary traction to the RNFL.
