목적 : To report a photographically – presented ICG toxicity on macular area in epiretinal membrane (ERM) surgery
방법 : A 77 year-old male with ERM on his right eye received pars planar vitrectomy followed by ILM peeling. After ICG dye was applied to identify remnant ILM tissue, ILM-peeled macular area was colored greenly with oval shape. The patient was asked to visit our clinic after 1 week, 1 month, 3 month postoperatively for clinical follow up.
결과 : Fundus photography and Spectral domain OCT showed obvious foveal coloration and photoreceptor disruption respectively, both of them has presented improvement to some extent at the 6 month follows up. Visual acuity which was 20/100 preoperatively has stayed around 20/500 without showing remarkable recovery along with the clinical course.
결론 : This is the first case report showing obvious macular coloration caused by ICG toxicity, which is illustrated with fundus photography and SD-OCT showed disrupted photoreceptors. This report could be one of the clinical evidences explaining the reason we should avoid ICG injection onto bare retina.
