목적 : To describe the clinical features of patient who showed neuroretinitis with high serum angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)
방법 : An 18-year-old male who was referred to our clinic underwent color vision test, fluorescein angiography (FAG), optical coherence tomography (OCT) and laboratory study including viral marker (HSV, VZV, CMV), parasitic marker (toxoplasma, toxocaria), liver enzyme, rhematologic factor (rheumatoid factor, ACE)
결과 : At initial visit, his corrected visual acuity on his left eye was 10/20 and he complained metamorphopsia. There were optic disc swelling and serous macular edema and his color vision was slightly decreased. FAG showed leakage at the optic disc. Laboratory results came back with elevated ACE level (others were in normal range), so chest high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) was performed to check up for sarcoidosis. Result of HRCT was normal. Prednisolone 1% eye drops and 50 mg per oral were prescribed and tapered. And then, his symptoms and signs had been improved.
결론 : We experienced neuroretinitis with high serum ACE level which was not associated with sarcoidosis.
